A few years back I had the privilege to speak with an engineering manager at GM's Powertrain Development Center. He was overseeing the development of the supercharged Northstar engine and was responsible for bringing many advanced features to the Northstar including variable valve timing, DOHC, etc. I asked him why the LSX series engines insisted on pushrods when the Northstar proved GM could make world class engines and he said that upper management insisted that pushrods be kept on the corvette to maintain heritage.
what? It looks a little stumpy, but fits great in the hand! (n/m) - ZEngineer 12/12/06
